What’s up Wednesday? What are you doing Wednesday? We’re going for a morning walk and would love some company. How about it – a little exercise, camaraderie, and maybe a bit of lunch? If you’re free and interested, come and join us – we’ll meet at the start point listed in the brochure and plan to start at 10:00 a.m. Look for the Wednesday walks listed below.

The Rhode Island County Challenge!

Walk 'n Mass and the Connecticut Valley Volksport Club have created a Challenge. Can you complete walks in FIVE Rhode Island counties before December 31, 2025?

This challenge runs from April 2023 through December 2025 and is co-sponsored by Connecticut Valley Volkssport Club (CVVC) and Walk n Mass Volkssport Club. Books to track your progress in walking one volkswalk in each of the 5 counties in Rhode Island can be purchased for $10, and the award on completion (other than personal satisfaction and bragging rights in completing this challenge) is a navy blue cooling towel imprinted in white with the Challenge logo.

Go to Rhode Island County Challenge for information on ordering the challenge book and for a list of qualifying seasonal/year round events (one in each of the five RI counties) that are currently available.

This challenge is readily doable. It s just a matter of making the time to get out and walk! Group walks of the qualifying events will be scheduled periodically. Check the websites of Walk n Mass and Connecticut Valley Volkssport Club for dates and times.
